Keys points any web designer should be aware of regarding iPad:

1. iPad does not supports websites with Flash feature

Solution: HTML5, the new HTML standard that support media player without the needs of Flash. Apple iPad support HTML5 and they have already push major sites like CNN, New York Times, Vimeo to uses it.

2. Even if there is no Flash material on the websites, it does not mean that your websites will be view properly. Websites with fixed and elastic layouts will have issues of not being able to display properly when viewed on iPad.

Solutions:  The only safe bet left is a smart Fluid width design. Fluid width design: Uses percentage widths for the layout so that the view is adjusted for each user.

Those two major points are what we would suggest the designers to be aware of when designing iPad-friendly websites.
